Design and Materials
Take a look at one of my first year projects. This project focused on bringing people back to nature, specifically 'The Hive' which is located in Salford. I focused on how to increase are connection to nature through design and with it being in a woodland area I also focused on the importance of the materials being used by making sure they were both environmentally friendly and suitable for the environment they would be located within.
Responding to Creative Contexts
Take a look at one of my second year projects. This project was part essay, part visual and I chose to explore ' To what extent have designers challenged female gender roles throughout history'. After researching this I can created a two part visual responds to this research one of which can be seen to right.
Negotiated Major Project
Take a look at my final third year project. This project allowed me the most creative freedom so far. Using Merchants Warehouse which is located in Castlefield, Manchester I have redesigned it as a boutique, luxury hotel. My design is heavily focused on sustainable design that has a biophilic/industrial aesthetic.
